A teenage boy is hoping to help his brother escape the same treatment at the hands of their father he did. With a friend, they make a daring escape into the unknown without a real plan. Soon, the darkness in their home lives is overshadowed by a darkness in the larger world. The boys must work out their own feelings for one another that have been in the background because they were always in danger at home. They must also figure out who they are and how to survive in a world that promises nothing and delivers less.
